STAGING... the market expects it Staging a home for sale is now the norm rather than the exception. Home buyers have come to expect that any house on the market will be presented not only in a clean, crisp and well kept manner ~ it is no longer sufficient to simply ensure that everything is in good repair. To sell in today's market, a home must appeal to the broadest number of buyers possible.
![]() This means creating a very delicate balance. The property must be sufficiently neutral to allow the prospective buyer to project how they would furnish, decorate and enjoy it. At the same time, it must have an inviting atmosphere - one that relaxes the potential purchaser while stimulating their imagination. It is often ncessary to remove any items that might be considered "taste specific." It is then the Stager's responsibility to substitute items of a more generic nature.
